Analysis of paediatric dentistry cases operated under general anaesthesia: is the number of operating rooms sufficient for dental general anaesthesia?

Objective: Aim of this study is to analyse the characteristics pediatric dentistry patients who were operated under general anesthesia (GA) and sedated, adequacy number operating rooms. Material Methods: The examined records 218 paediatric could not be local anaesthesia (LA) in Faculty Dentistry therefore needed dental (DGA) for treatments using nasotracheal intubation room Medicine between January 2019 December 2020. Demographic data all patients, American Society Anesthesiologists (ASA) scores, type (general anesthesia, sedation), duration types surgery performed, additional diseases, syndromes requested consultations analysed. Results: mean age population was 5 (4–7) years. Among these 106 (48.6%) female 112 (51.4%) male. There 161 (73.9%) underwent DGA healthy with no health-related problems. Fifty-seven (26.1%) included children comorbidities. Conclusion: need timely treatment GA or sedation highly significant. It recommended that rooms allocated specifically should increased improve usability accessibility services. Further comprehensive studies focusing on are needed.
